Frequently asked questions
- Is this suitable for beginners?
- Absolutely. You do not need to be a professional florist or experienced ikebana artist to exhibit. This is a community exhibition open to all levels. If you love working with flowers and have an idea you want to express, you are welcome to take part.
- Do I need to be a Flower Club International member?
- Yes. Exhibiting is open to active Flower Club members only.
- Can I exhibit if I practise floristry rather than ikebana?
- Yes. All styles of floral art are welcome, including ikebana, floristry, botanical art, contemporary floral design and experimental work.
- How much space will I have?
- Exact dimensions will be shared once the venue and final number of exhibitors are confirmed. For planning - please assume your arrangement will be displayed on a plinth, rather than a large scale arrangement.
- Will my work be photographed?
- Yes, we plan to photograph the exhibition and individual works where possible. Images may be shared by Flower Club in connection with the exhibition and community.
- What if I need to leave Tokyo before pack down?
- Email info@flowerclubint.com after booking. If arranged in advance, we can take down your work for you.
- What happens if I have to cancel?
- Cancellations made by 22 January 2027 are eligible for a full refund, less any payment processing fees. From 23 January 2027, exhibitor fees are non-refundable because venue costs and exhibition space will have been committed based on confirmed participant numbers. If you can no longer attend after 23 January, you may transfer your place to another active Flower Club member up to 16 April 2027, provided you contact info@flowerclubint.com in advance.
