Is this suitable for beginners?

Yes - all levels are welcome. Equally, advanced practitioners may also enjoy the experience and are welcome.

What is the price?

The Flower Club Intensive is USD $2,495 per person. You can reserve your place with a $500 deposit. The remaining $1,995 balance is due 3 months before the Intensive begins. Your place is confirmed once your deposit has been received.

SCHEDULE

DATES Intensive workshops: Monday 19 – Friday 23 April 2027. Exhibition: Saturday 24 – Sunday 25 April 2027. (Monday–Thursday) 10:00–12:00 morning session · 12:00–13:00 lunch break · 13:00–16:00 afternoon session. Friday includes final project development, exhibition installation and photography.

WHO IS THIS FOR

Open to all levels: complete beginners, current and advanced ikebana students, teachers, florists, artists and designers, and anyone wishing to deepen their understanding of ikebana through study in Japan.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Study with a range of Japan-based instructors, explore different approaches to ikebana, work with seasonal materials, take part in demonstrations and practical workshops, receive feedback and critique, create work for exhibition and connect with fellow students from around the world. This is a study-intensive programme rather than a sightseeing tour or retreat.

INCLUDED

Five days of ikebana study, instruction from guest instructors based in Japan, all flowers and botanical materials used in class, participation in the Flower Club Tokyo Spring Exhibition and exhibition photography. Tools and equipment are available to use; bring your own if you prefer.

NOT INCLUDED

International flights, accommodation, travel insurance, meals and refreshments, daily transport and personal expenses.
