About this event
Join fellow Flower Club members for a relaxed online Ikebana Club meetup exploring how to incorporate rocks and stones as visible elements of an arrangement.
This month's creative study: Rock Study. Experiment with the relationship between natural stone and plant materials — contrasting weight and lightness, rough and smooth textures, movement and stillness. Rocks can be a focal point or work in conversation with flowers, branches and foliage. This study works with locally available materials in any season.
What to bring: One or more clean, stable rocks or stones, your choice of seasonal flowers, foliage or branches, a suitable container or tray, your usual arranging tools, and a protective surface if needed. Keep all stones securely supported so they cannot tip or damage your vessel or table.
We'll introduce the creative theme, arrange together and share our work with friendly feedback. All ikebana schools, styles and experience levels are welcome. This is a creative community meetup rather than a formal instructor-led lesson; the theme is optional. Guest workshops are scheduled separately.
Online · 60 minutes · Included with Flower Club membership. Join details are available to members after booking.
