Join fellow Flower Club members for a relaxed hour of ikebana arranging, creative exchange and friendly feedback.
This month's theme: Chrysanthemum Day — Chōyō no Sekku.
Prepare for Chōyō no Sekku (Chrysanthemum Day) on 9 September by exploring rhythm, repetition, form and the traditional association between chrysanthemums and longevity. Chrysanthemums are optional.
What to bring: Bring chrysanthemums if available, or any locally available flowers, foliage, a vessel and tools.
We'll introduce the theme, create our own arrangements together and share our results. All ikebana schools, styles and experience levels are welcome. The monthly theme is optional; you can arrange with materials available in your part of the world, and no Japanese seasonal flowers are required.
This is a community meetup, not a formal instructor-led class. Special guest demonstrations and workshops will be scheduled separately.
