About this event
Join fellow Flower Club members for a relaxed hour of ikebana arranging, creative exchange and friendly feedback.
This month's theme: Tango no Sekku — Boys' Day.
Prepare for Tango no Sekku (Children's Day) on 5 May with bold, uplifting ikebana inspired by strong lines, irises and the festival's wishes for children. Japanese irises are not required.
What to bring: Bring long leaves or branches, local seasonal flowers, a suitable vessel and usual tools.
We'll introduce the theme, create our own arrangements together and share our results. All ikebana schools, styles and experience levels are welcome. The monthly theme is optional; you can arrange with materials available in your part of the world, and no Japanese seasonal flowers are required.
This is a community meetup, not a formal instructor-led class. Special guest demonstrations and workshops will be scheduled separately.
