FLORISTRY CLUB · 2027 PORTFOLIO PROGRAMME

Build a beautiful, practical floristry portfolio one project at a time. This month's project is Corporate Reception Arrangement: Client Brief Capstone. The same project is offered in two different time slots each month so members can attend the one that suits them.

TECHNIQUE: Learn and practise interpreting a brief, proportion, presentation, simple costing and portfolio photography.
PORTFOLIO PIECE: Finish a professional corporate reception arrangement.
YOUR PROJECT: Make a reception-style arrangement for a hypothetical client brief, record its materials and costs, and photograph the finished design.

WHAT TO BRING: A watertight vase or low vessel, your preferred reusable mechanics, flowers, foliage, floral snips, a phone camera and a materials-cost note.

SESSION PLAN · 60 MINUTES
10 minutes: introduce the portfolio brief and demonstrate the essential technique.
40 minutes: make your design with guided practical exercises and questions.
10 minutes: finishing, feedback and how to photograph the piece for your portfolio.

PORTFOLIO CHECKLIST: Take a clean front photograph, a detail photograph showing the technique, and record your flower/material recipe and the skill practised. Add your finished photographs to your personal portfolio.

Prepare and condition materials before the session. For larger designs, work on a small-scale version suitable for finishing in one hour. Members supply their own flowers and tools. A session instructor will be announced separately; no specific guest is confirmed.
