About this event

FLORISTRY CLUB · 2027 PORTFOLIO PROGRAMME

Build a beautiful, practical floristry portfolio one project at a time. This month's project is Floral Crown or Hairpiece. The same project is offered in two different time slots each month so members can attend the one that suits them.

TECHNIQUE: Learn and practise fine wiring, taping, joining and fit of lightweight wearable flowers.
PORTFOLIO PIECE: Finish a wearable floral crown or hairpiece.

YOUR PROJECT: Construct a short hairpiece or small floral crown using light, secure wired components.

WHAT TO BRING: Small flowers and foliage, fine wire, floral tape, wire cutters, snips, and a simple headband or flexible base.

SESSION PLAN · 60 MINUTES
10 minutes: introduce the portfolio brief and demonstrate the essential technique.

40 minutes: make your design with guided practical exercises and questions.

10 minutes: finishing, feedback and how to photograph the piece for your portfolio.

PORTFOLIO CHECKLIST: Take a clean front photograph, a detail photograph showing the technique, and record your flower/material recipe and the skill practised. Add your finished photographs to your personal portfolio.

Prepare and condition materials before the session. For larger designs, work on a small-scale version suitable for finishing in one hour. Members supply their own flowers and tools. A session instructor will be announced separately; no specific guest is confirmed.

Sunday 9:00–10:00 PM Japan time · Online · Included with Flower Club membership. Joining link available to confirmed members after booking.
