Inspired by the bold experimentation of vintage Japanese ikebana books, this creative session invites participants to explore a more playful and contemporary approach to flower arranging.

Using unique vessels, seasonal materials and modernist design ideas, you'll create your own arrangement while connecting with fellow flower lovers, florists and ikebana enthusiasts in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Enjoy flowers, conversation, music and a little sake as we celebrate creativity and community together.

Whether you're new to ikebana or have been arranging for years, this session is designed to inspire fresh ideas, encourage experimentation and help you connect with others who share your passion for flowers.

What You'll Create

Participants will create their own contemporary ikebana arrangement inspired by modernist design principles and vintage Japanese floral aesthetics.

This session is less about rules and more about exploration.

You'll be encouraged to experiment, take creative risks and develop your own artistic voice while working with beautiful seasonal materials.

You'll leave with a completed arrangement, fresh inspiration and new ideas to take back into your own creative practice.

Julia Rush

Founder of Flower Club International and an experienced ikebana teacher, Julia is passionate about helping people develop creativity, confidence and a lifelong relationship with flowers.

Her teaching combines traditional Japanese principles with contemporary artistic exploration and personal expression.
