• Virtual Class: Students are welcome to join from wherever they are in the world.

Class Details

Certified Teaching: Learn directly from Julia Rush, who is certified in the Sogetsu method and dedicated to helping students achieve their creative goals.

Path to Certification: Complete the full curriculum (Textbooks 1–5) to qualify as a certified Sogetsu teacher. Textbooks 1-4 include 20 classes each. Textbook 5 includes 30 classes.

Level: These classes are mixed level. This means that students of any Textbook Level can join these classes. You will continue working through your own textbook program with your teacher.

What You Need

• Textbook: All students must have a copy of the Sogetsu textbook. If you don’t already have one, please purchase it before your first class.
• Hasami: Ikebana flower scissors
• Kenzan: Ikebana flower frog
• Nageire Vase: Tall cylinder ceramic vase for nageire arrangements.
• Moribana Vase: Low suiban vase for moribana arrangements.
• Flower Materials: Each lesson requires branch and flower materials per the textbook class. Please review the textbook example before each class to select suitable materials.
• For Virtual Classes: A stable internet connection and a space to work on your floral arrangements.
