Surround yourself with the sights and smells of a bustling Italian flower market.
If you find yourself in Milan, Italy, Il Mercato Floricolo is the perfect place to collect your floral supplies. From cut flowers, vases, and tools, it has a whole host of floristry products. Make a plan for a morning visit to soak up the atmosphere and pick out the freshest flowers.

Milan’s Flower Market is part of the biggest wholesale market in Italy, located in the east of the city along with the meat and fish markets. You’re sure to cross paths with plenty of Milanese florists preparing for their week of work. Prices are clearly marked on the flowers, so don’t worry if you don’t speak Italian (although it’s worth taking an Italian speaker to do some bartering!).
You can find plenty of bouquets, succulents, tools, vases, and more. If you’re not into flower arranging, there’s also a fab selection of succulents and potted plants ready for you to take home. The market doesn’t have a huge range of flower types, but it does include shops for cut flowers, plants, and fake flowers too.

This working market is catered more to florists than to tourists, but flower lovers can still enjoy the experience of browsing the different sections. Il Mercato’s website is in Italian but states that the market is open to public daily between 10:00-12:00.

Opening times: Open to the public Monday-Friday between 10:00-12:00. On Saturdays it is open from 9:00-12:30.
Location: Mercato Floricolo all’Ingrosso, Via Cesare Lombroso 54, 20137 Milano Italia
Travel: You’ll need to park on the street and walk in unless you have a special access pass. There are also metro lines that run from the centre of Milan to the market which take around 40 minutes.
