Upcoming event

20th October 2024 – Book

Modern Ikebana

Victoria Gaiger and Tom Loxley, editors of the award-winning “rakesprogress” magazine, document modern ikebana arrangements by a new generation of floral artists from Tokyo to New York, exploring their art and inspiration.

Meet the hosts

Kimberly Ortega León – Co-Host of Botanical Book Club

I love books, magazines, and zines. I have a collection of cookbooks and art books, including some related to flowers, botanical illustration, and floral design. Another flower goal of mine this year would be to expand my library with books on Ikebana. Any recommendations?

Julia Rush – Co-Host of Botanical Book Club

Mainly reading and collecting ikebana books, but ready to expand into botanical books of all kinds especially to upgrade my flower name knowledge. Also obsessed with stories about rare plant hunters.
