Learn how to make beautiful ikebana arrangements with Camellia flowers in this online workshop with experienced Sogetsu Ikebana teacher Sandy Marker.
Camellia flowers are beautiful feature flowers for ikebana, but not always the easiest to work with. In this special workshop, you will learn:
- Variations of Camellia flowers – which flowers to choose?
- Transport – how to take care of the delicate flowers during transport
- How to secure bud/flower with pins or wire
- How to trim branches to emphasise line
- How to set in an arrangement
- Tips & tricks for longevity
Your Teacher – Sandy Marker
With extensive experience studying under master Sogetsu Ikebana teachers in Hong Kong, Sydney, and Japan, Sandy Marker has achieved Riji level, the highest level of Sogetsu Ikebana teacher. Sandy teaches students in her studio in Sydney, and online with students around the world. Sandy is highly qualified and experienced in exhibiting and leading group exhibitions, as a previous Director for the Australian Sogetsu Teachers Association. We are honoured for Sandy to present this workshop and demonstration for us to share her wealth of knowledge.
